Terms & Conditions

We’re so glad you’re here.

At SteadyMind Institute, we’re committed to creating a supportive, thoughtful experience for every participant. The following policies are in place to ensure clarity, fairness, and a smooth experience for everyone involved.

By registering for a SteadyMind program, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Program Registration & Payment

Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment.

Payment may be made in full at the time of registration or through an approved payment option, if offered. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that life happens and plans can change. At the same time, because of the small-group, immersive nature of this program, we’re not always able to fill spots on short notice.

  • 30+ days prior to program start: Full refund minus a $50 processing fee

  • Less than 30 days prior to start: 50% refund

  • After the program has begun: No refunds

If you’re unable to attend, your registration may be transferred to another participant with advance written notice prior to the program start date.

If program materials (such as a printed manual) have been provided, they must be returned in unused condition in order to process any eligible refund.

3. Program Changes or Cancellation by SteadyMind

SteadyMind Institute reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify a program due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

If a program is canceled by SteadyMind, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future session.

4. Participation & Personal Responsibility

We invite you to listen to your body and engage in a way that feels supportive and sustainable.

By participating, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own physical and mental well-being during all sessions. You agree to practice within your own limits and to modify as needed.

All practices are offered as invitations, not requirements.

5. Health & Medical Disclaimer

SteadyMind programs are intended for educational and wellness purposes only and are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You acknowledge that:

  • You are in appropriate physical and mental condition to participate

  • You have consulted a qualified healthcare provider if you have any concerns or pre-existing conditions

  • You will discontinue participation and seek guidance if needed

SteadyMind Institute and its instructors do not provide medical or psychological services.

6. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Participation in yoga, movement, breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and related practices involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional discomfort, or aggravation of pre-existing conditions.

These activities may include stretching, balance work, guided breathing techniques, and periods of rest or introspection.

By registering and participating, you:

  • Voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown

  • Accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, and discharge SteadyMind Institute, LLC, its founders, instructors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to your participation.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Personal injury or illness

  • Emotional distress

  • Property loss or damage

7. Emotional Well-Being Acknowledgment

Some practices may invite self-reflection or emotional awareness. While these practices are designed to support well-being, they may occasionally bring up unexpected emotions.

By participating, you acknowledge responsibility for your emotional well-being and agree to seek appropriate professional support if needed.

8. Professional Development Credit (CPDUs)

SteadyMind Institute is an approved provider of Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) in the state of Illinois.

Participants are responsible for attending required sessions and completing any necessary documentation in order to receive credit.

9. Materials & Intellectual Property

All program materials—including manuals, handouts, and digital content—are the intellectual property of SteadyMind Institute, LLC and are provided for personal use only.

Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written permission.

10. Media Release & Testimonials

We love being able to share the experience of our programs with the broader community.

By participating in a SteadyMind Institute program, you grant permission for SteadyMind to capture and use photographs, video, or audio recordings taken during sessions for educational, marketing, and promotional purposes. This may include use on our website, social media, email communications, and other materials.

We are committed to representing our community with care and respect.

From time to time, we may invite participants to share feedback or testimonials. By providing a testimonial, you grant permission for SteadyMind Institute to use your words for promotional purposes. We will not share sensitive personal information and will use first names only unless additional permission is given.

If you prefer not to be photographed, recorded, or have your testimonial shared, you may notify us at any time, and we will honor your request.

11. Agreement

By completing your registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these Terms & Conditions, including the Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability.
